SET has no paid staff. Every member of the team works entirely voluntarily and with total commitment to the education and welfare of disadvantaged students.

SET works closely with dozens of teachers and welfare officers at the many schools, colleges and universities from which students are drawn. Usually, the liaison officer between SET and the school is a senior member of the English Department, to ensure good communication. That officer in turn works closely with the school Welfare Department in assessing students for scholarships and welfare grants and helping to organize SET-sponsored English camps and other activities.
