What does it cost to make the difference?
From junior high school to vocational diploma or university degree, SET can guarantee support all the way - up to twelve years in many cases. SET obviously welcomes donations of any value and even a small gift can make an immediate difference to an impoverished student, whether used to pay tuition fees or to help in some other practical way.   Here are some examples of how we can use your donation:
500 Baht will buy a pair of school shoes.
800 Baht will buy spectacles – often badly needed by some students. 800 Baht will also pay a month’s rent in a shared student dormitory.
1,000 Baht will pay for a school uniform or will cover the cost of books or tools for a year.
2,500 Baht will pay for lunch at a school canteen for an entire semester. 2,500 Baht will also usually cover bus fares for a year (two semesters).
3,000 Baht will support a student at high school for one semester or one semester for a college student studying for a Vocational Certificate.
5,000 Baht is the typical value of a SET welfare grant for one semester for a college or university student. The grant will usually cover the cost of accommodation, food and bus fares.
6,000 Baht will pay the expenses for one-year for a high school student, or for a student in a college Vocational Certificate course.
10,000 Baht will pay the expenses of a university student for one semester.
12,000 Baht will pay the fees for one year for a college student in a Higher Vocational Diploma course.
18,000 Baht will provide a three-year scholarship for a new college student in a Vocational Certificate course. 18,000 Baht will also support a high school student for three years.
20,000 Baht will pay the expenses of a university student for one year.
24,000 Baht will pay the fees of a college student with a Vocational Certificate to continue studying for two more years for a Higher Diploma.
36,000 Baht will provide a six-year scholarship for a new high school student.
42,000 Baht will provide a five-year scholarship for a new college student studying to Higher Diploma level.
60,000 Baht will provide an eight-year scholarship for a student through three years of high school and five years at college for a Higher Vocational Diploma.
80,000 Baht will provide a scholarship for a new university student in a four-year course.
100,000 Baht will provide a scholarship for a new university student studying in a five-year teaching degree course.
116,000 Baht will provide a 10-year scholarship for a student studying six years at high school and four years at university.

However much you give, every Baht, Dollar, Pound or Euro will make a genuine difference to a needy student
